This a proven Naan Bread Recipe with yogurt that I have made over and over again and is definitely a great recipe that all your guests will enjoy with their curry.

Naan Bread Recipe Ingredients
250g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp castor sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp plain yoghurt
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Nigella seeds or caramelised onions, fresh coriander or mint for toppings
Ghee, melted to serve
Naan Bread Recipe Instructions
Start by sifting the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt into a mixing bowl, and then in another bowl you need to mix together the milk and the oil.
Next, add the yoghurt to the sifted flour, followed by the milk and oil mixture and then mix everything together to form a soft and pliable dough that is not sticky. If you need to add more flour or milk then do so as it is a very forgiving dough.
Once the dough is formed, turn out the dough onto a work surface and knead for about 5 minutes until the dough is smooth and then place the smooth dough back into the bowl and cover with cling film and let it rest for a minimum of 20 minutes and up to 2 hours in a warm place.
Preheat the grill to a medium heat and then place a baking tray onto the top shelf of the oven.
Turn the dough out and divide into 4 portions and then you need to roll out each portion quite thinly into a tear shape using a rolling pin or by hand. Top each naan bread with the topping of your choice and then push the toppings into the naan bread with your hands or the rolling pin and then lastly prick each one all over with a fork to stop it from rising whilst cooking.
Remove the baking tray from the oven and then place the fresh naan bread on it and return to the oven to cook for 1-3 minutes or until lightly brown all over.
To serve, brush melted ghee over the hot naan breads and serve warm. A nice naan bread recipe easy.
