Serves: 6-8
Prep Time: 5 mins
Cooking Time: 50 mins
Total Time: 55 mins

Ingredients

1 tsp of Garlic Salt
15ml olive oil Jack Daniels Sauce
150ml water
200ml pineapple juice
60ml teriyaki sauce
1 tbsp. Soy sauce
300grams dark brown sugar
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Juice of 1 lemon
1 small Red onion, finely chopped
30-50ml Jack Daniels Whiskey – dependant to taste
1 tsp Tabasco Sauce
1 tbsp Worcester sauce

Instructions

Combine the water, pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, & cayenne pepper in a medium saucepan over medium high heat.
Stir occasionally until mixture boils. Reduce the heat until mixture is just simmering.
Add remaining ingredients to the pan and stir.
Let mixture simmer for 50 minutes, or until sauce has reduced by half and is thick and syrupy.
Make sure it doesn’t boil over otherwise you will have a difficulty cleaning your hob if it does!!

If you have any left over sauce put it in a container a freeze, otherwise it will be fine in the fridge for up to 5 days.

  1. This sauce is amazing I prefer fresh garlic instead of the garlic salt. Thankyou for sharing this is definitely better than the TGI sauce

  2. Hi Simon, I’m going to make this sauce as the TGI chicken strips are my absolute favourite, in fact it’s the only thing I ever have at TGIs! My family say I have a good triangle!! I’m so impressed with your website & passion about cooking! So go open that restaurant! See you on a dog walk soon with the rest of the gang!
